I teach a lot of 1:1 cake classes and one of the most popular skills my clients ask for is how to get the perfect tall, straight edged cake. I show a variety of tools to accomplish the perfect edges but my favourite of all is my acrylic scraper. I’ve been having these made for my classes but recently several of my students have asked if I sell them. Well now I do! The acrylic works brilliantly as it has a sharp enough edge to achieve the perfect scrape on ganache or buttercream but it’s not so sharp that it takes the edge off your cake board. And the thickness of the product helps to keep it straight.
