Hello! I’m Imogen, founder, artist, Norwich cake maker and lover of all things cake. (I mean… who isn’t?!) Whether you’re looking for an arty, contemporary wedding cake that will be the life and soul of the party, something different for your creative hen-do plans, or you want to learn more about making cakes that perfectly marry aesthetics and taste, you’ve come to the right place.

 

Sugar Buttons was born from years of art and design experience, including prop making and set design for TV and film. I love all forms of creativity and style, from fashion to architecture to interiors, and all of these consistently inspire my artistic wedding cakes. Alongside that, I’ve always been a sucker for the sentimental and for objects that are part of a story – and weddings are the greatest stories of all.

 

At Sugar Buttons in Norwich, I specialise in semi-naked and buttercream wedding cakes, providing timeless simplicity with a delightfully fresh twist. If you want an alternative wedding cake that will turn heads, my sister brand Edge by Imogen Davison is the home for design-led cakes inspired by the world of art and architecture. 


I adore unique and innovative briefs that I can (figuratively) sink my teeth into, and I am constantly bowled over by the inspiration my couples bring me. 


I like to think of my cakes as edible art: both in terms of showstopping design and delicious taste, I make wedding cakes that get people talking on the day and for months after. My recipes have been honed to perfection and my flavours are meticulously crafted, plus I cater for all dietary requirements including gluten-free wedding cakes (I’m a strong believer that nobody should be denied good cake.)

 

I love to learn new skills and teach them in equal measure, so I offer several different levels of cake decorating classes tailored to your needs. This includes cake decorating parties in Norfolk for an alternative hen do, and 1:1 cake classes or small, tailored group settings too.

Sugar Buttons Cake School provides video tutorials to nail contemporary cake decorating techniques without needing to leave the comfort of your own home.
